Reed Conservation
A quality reed can really improve your sound (I can suggest quality reed brands for you to purchase).
Here are a few tips for taking care of your reeds and making them last longer:
* Remove and dry your reed after each use.
* Buy a reed guard case and rotate your reed usage. This gives your reeds more time to dry out and it protects them from chipping.
* Put a mouthpiece cap over your mouthpiece when putting your clarinet/saxophone down for a minute.
(If you don't have one, you can buy one very inexpensively and it will save your reeds from being accidently damaged.)
* Be careful when handling your reeds, they are expensive!
